Magali Valente has been appointed Technical Advisor on Culture in the office of Michel Barnier, Prime Minister. This return to Matignon marks a new stage in her career in the service of culture, after several stints in ministerial offices.
Holder of a Master 2 in public law from the Panthéon Assas University (2008) and a graduate of Science Po Strasbourg (2010), Magali Valente began her career as an administrator at the National Assembly from 2012 to 2017. Her first experience in a ministerial office took place from 2017 to 2020, where she was a tax advisor, in charge of relations with parliament and cultural industries in the office of Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy and Finance. This position allowed her to familiarize herself with the economic issues of cultural industries, a sector that she would continue to cover thereafter.
In 2020, she became Director of Cinema at the National Center for Cinema and the Animated Image (CNC). Her management at the CNC then led her to join the office of Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne in 2022 as Technical Advisor for Culture. She held this position until June 2023 before joining the office of the Minister of Culture, Rima Abdul Malak, as Deputy Director, responsible for audiovisual and press.
His return to Matignon, this time under the leadership of Michel Barnier, marks the continuity of his commitment to cultural and audiovisual policies.
