Luc Allaire, chief of staff of Catherine Pgard

The arrival of Luc Allaire (68 years old) as head of the office of the new Minister of Culture confirms a choice of institutional stability. The Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture and State Administrator, Luc Allaire knows Rue de Valois well. He belongs to this generation of enarques who have chosen culture.

Upon leaving the ENA (Fernand Braudel promotion), he joined the Ministry of Culture within the music and dance directorate until 1992. He subsequently held several budgetary positions: from Bercy to the Paris National Opera, via the Ministry of Health, the directorate of the general administration of labor or the National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy (CNSA), until 2014. Luc Allaire returns as secretary general of the Ministry of Culture in 2020, after officiating at the Interministerial Delegation to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The new chief of staff succeeds Magali Valente, who headed the office of former Minister of Culture Rachida Dati since February 2025, after the departure of Gaëtan Bruel, appointed president of the National Center for Cinema and Animated Images (CNC).
